A. SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE: Includes Luncheons, Card Exchange, Golf Tournaments, and other events of special interest to our membership. The committee is also making plans for the 30th Anniversary of its founding and the 50th Anniversary of the opening of JFK Airport. Chairpersons: Don Wright, Millie Amsterdam, and Tom Carmody.
B. HOTELS & CATERING COMMITTEE: Addresses issues concerning the Hotel, Restaurant, and Food Service/Business at JFK. Chairperson: Greg Poulos. Member: Roger Cespedes.
C. AIRLINE COORDINATING COMMITTEE: Addresses issues related to passenger, cargo and airline facilities at JFK. Chairperson: Dave Sharma. Members: Joe Afif and Peter Mattey.
D. LEGISLATION & GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: Includes Government Agency Items (Customs, FAA, USDA, etc.) and Brokers. Addresses Government Regulatory Issues that impact all businesses at JFK. Chairperson: Bill Greenway. Member: Joel Ditkowsky.
E. BUSINESS ACTION COMMITTEE: Addresses issues that relate to cost of doing business at JFK. Chairperson: Carl Soller. Member: Bruce Abate.
F. SCHOLARSHIP & EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Oversees the Annual Leon D. Star Scholarship, provides tool boxes for 5th Year Students of Aviation High, is working toward establishing an endowment to be awarded to a student who plans an aviation related career, and addresses issues aviation related to students who wish to pursue aviation related careers. G. 20TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE: Planning for the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of the JFK Chamber of Commerce and will work with or organizations planning for the 50th Anniversary of the opening of JFK Airport. Chairperson: Phil Jensen. Member: Linda Courtois Wright.
H. ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE: Addresses environmental issues that effect the JFK Business Community. Chairperson: Tony Gesuale. Member: Ginger Priolo.
I. COMPUTER & WEBSITE COMMITTEE: Maintains the website for the JFK Chamber (www.jfk-airport.org) now under development and handles all computer related issues. Chairperson: Bill Greenway. Members: Nick Cetta and Liang Chen.
J. PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE: Responsible to promote the JFK Chamber of Commerce to the JFK Business Community and promote business at JFK Airport. Chairpersons: Rudy Auslander and Tom Kelliher. Members: Art Nigro.
K. CALENDAR OF EVENTS COMMITTEE: Responsible for the maintenance and publishing of a monthly Calendar of Events of all social and business organizations of the JFK Airport Community. Chairperson: Tony Gesuale. Members: Susan Anseloma and John Mangano.
L. FINANCE COMMITTEE: Responsible for the Finances and Budget for the operation of the Chamber. Chairperson: Millie Amsterdam. Members: Darryl Edwards, Bill Puckhaber, and Lloyd Spector.
